New Product from Maxon: Brushless 40 W / 100 W Sterilizable Servo Motor
maxon motor has reworked and considerably improved its EC 22 sterilizable catalog motors.
The existing EC 22 motors have been produced since 1997. In the course of time, various customer-driven improvements have been implemented. Now, these improvements are incorporated into the new catalog motors.
The new EC 22 motors come now with a 60° winding interconnection and latest generation Neodymium magnets. In addition, the EC 22 100 Watt now possesses a Ø4 mm shaft. Thanks to these modifications, the new EC 22 motors feature a speed/torque gradient reduced by close to 25%; the running smoothness is considerably improved.
Sterilizability
In addition to the above mentioned improvements, both motor sizes are now available as sterilizable versions. This has been achieved by employing sterilizable winding wire, coated Neodymium magnets, as well as suitable bearing lubrication. Thus, the sterilizable EC 22 motors withstand at least 100 autoclave cycles (conditions: 134°C, 2.3 bar (33.4 psi), 100% relative humidity, 20 minutes).
