Ogura’s AMC Series Electromagnetic Clutches are designed for general industrial use where compact size, repeatable engagement, and controlled response are important. The series uses zero backlash armatures and a double ball bearing field support to improve life and performance compared with bushing-style units.

Ogura states that the ball bearing field support helps simplify installation and reduce maintenance requirements. The armature is mounted to the hub with leaf springs to minimize backlash and eliminate armature rattle.

Ogura also notes that response time and slip torque can be adjusted by controlling the applied current, while the spline-free design helps support faster response and high performance.

An AMC-E version is also available with lower weight, lower wattage, RoHS compliance, and equivalent performance to the standard AMC clutches.
