Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation helps manufacturers and automation solution providers engineer linear and rotary motion solutions. With 60+ years of engineering expertise and manufacturing best practices working with over 20,000 customers, we understand our customers’ design and application requirements which enables us to develop unique solutions that typically ship within 2 to 3 weeks. Customers achieve 50% faster time to market, up to 50¬75% lower maintenance and installed costs, product differentiation, and longer product life. The Bishop-Wisecarver product family consists of:
Components & Accessories
As the inventor of DualVee Motion Technology, Bishop-Wisecarver offers one of the widest range of guide wheel components in the world. Our offerings are suitable for numerous applications, such as machine designs that require incorporating a component or linear product into the machine structure. We also offer motor mounts to accommodate your drive needs. Carbon, stainless steel and polymer versions are available to fit any application environment.
Manual Linear Guide Systems
Bishop-Wisecarver, together with our partner HepcoMotion, offers the widest range of guide wheel-based linear motion solutions in the world. Our linear guide products are available in several sizes to accommodate loads of all types, from light to heavy. Our linear guide product offering is suitable for use in numerous applications, such as machine designs requiring incorporation of linear guide products into the machine structure. We also offer motor mounts for our linear guide products for applications that require a separate drive unit. Carbon, stainless steel, and polymer versions are available to suit any application environment.
Simple Select provides customers with an easy ready-to-mount linear guide based on HepcoMotion's popular GV3 slide system. Simple Select linear guides are available in sizes from 20mm to 76mm to accomodate loads from 685 to 10,000 N.
The UtiliTrak linear guide is a narrow, compact profile solution that is ideal for using two parallel systems, where the vee side serves as the motion guide and the roller side compensates for misalignment. UtiliTrak is available in SW Series steel, PW Series polymer with aluminum channel or CR Series composite stainless steel where a corrosion resistant linear guide is required.
For high load applications, choose the HDS2 linear guide product line. Or for a completely stainless steel linear guide, select the SL2. MinVee offers a miniature linear guide that is ideally suited for semiconductor, laboratory, medical and packaging applications. LoPro is available in both actuated and non-actuated linear guide versions and DualVee and GV3 offer guided motion componentry to suit a wide range of linear guide applications.
Actuated Linear Guide Systems
When a standalone unit is required, our range of belt, chain, lead screw and ball screw actuators covers all applications, from low load to heavy duty and from fast to slow speeds. Corrosion-resistant versions to accommodate food and laboratory applications are available in several of our linear actuator lines.
The PDU2 profile belt unit is an excellent light duty choice and is available in a corrosion-resistant version.
LoPro is available in belt, chain, lead screw or ball screw actuators and comes in four sizes to accommodate loads up to 3,525 pounds. The Hepco DLS belt driven linear actuator also offers three different sizes for medium duty applications.
For heavy loads, select from HDLS belt driven actuator, HDCS ball screw actuators, or the SBD sealed belt unit. Rack and pinion actuation is also possible on the HDCB heavy duty compact beam.
The unique DAPDU2 double-acting belt unit is ideal for actions such as opening and closing doors.
Ball screw actuators are used where precision positioning is required. Choose PSD80 ball screw actuators or PSD120 lead screw actuators for lighter loads or LoPro ball screw actuators for medium to heavy loads.
