FLEXe Linear Encoder

Sample image only. Product may differ
The FLEXe™ series from KappaSense features capacitive linear encoders designed for applications requiring wide mechanical tolerances and robust performance. The active readhead operates effectively with high lateral (Y-axis) and stand-off (Z-axis) tolerances, making it suitable for environments with significant vibration. The FLEXe™ encoder maintains accurate measurements even under challenging conditions, including high temperatures, dust, and surface scratches.
The FLEXe™ system comprises three main components: an active scale, an active readhead, and a remote electrical module. This configuration ensures reliable absolute position feedback with a resolution of up to 2 µm and an accuracy of ±30 µm, depending on the scale length. The encoder supports high-speed operations up to 10 m/s and functions within a temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C.
