AMC Robotics

When looking for components for robotic solutions, we highly recommend AMC's FlexPro™ line.

The FlexPro™ drive series is the latest family of digital servo drives designed for high power, small size, and the best available servo motor control.

The IMPACT™ architecture of FlexPro™ allows for higher power densities than ever before while still maintaining the reliability and versatility of our established drive families. In addition, the advanced processing and storage capabilities ensure that drives with IMPACT™ are more intelligent and operationally flexible than ever before.

FlexPro™ drives are designed to operate within a network, but like previous digital drives, they can also operate stand-alone via stored indexes and sequences with I/O. They’re capable of brushed, brushless, stepper, and linear motor control.  The FlexPro™ family continues to grow, with more products on the way. Further models will include more network options, greater power ranges, and extended environment capabilities.

Form Factors

FlexPro™ drives can fit into tight spaces and still deliver the impressive power and performance to your robot joints, AGV traction wheels, or any other application. ADVANCED Motion Controls® offers various form factors of FlexPro™ drives for each power level to ensure that it can be used anywhere.

PCB Mount

The standard units, the FE servo drives, are approximately 1.50 x 1.00 x 0.61 inches (38.1 x 25.4 x 16.0 mm) in size. These drives are PCB mount-style, so they’re designed to be integrated directly into your PCB interface in single- or multi-axis configurations. Their small form factor also makes directly integrated servo motor and drive solutions possible.

Don’t underestimate these drives for their size; great things come in small packages. The FE060-25-EM, for example, runs on 10-55 volts DC, communicates over EtherCAT, supports incremental encoder and BISS C-Mode feedback, delivers peak and continuous currents of 50 amps and 25 amps respectively, and has a maximum power dissipation of just 14 watts.

Machine Embedded

For those seeking to install drives beyond the central PCB, the FM machine embedded servo drives feature convenient connectors that make them easy to hook up to any system using standard cabling. The drives can also be configured easily via a USB-C connector.

Our 5-amp and 10-amp versions (FM060-5-EM and FM060-10-EM) feature Phoenix connectors for the motor and DC voltage connections while the 25-amp version (FM060-25-EM) features flying leads.

Development Board

If you’re in the development phase of your project, the FD drives feature a development board with various connection options, allowing for quick and easy configuration and setup.

With full-size communication ports, feedback connectors, and power terminals, the FD drives allow you to prove your concept before integrating FlexPro™ drives into your system.
