There are a number of benefits when choosing a direct drive frameless motor. The direct load connection eliminates maintenance of gearboxes, belts, or pulleys. You'll also get zero backlash, and compliance provides more responsive system performance. It eliminates coupling devices which in turn reducies the overall machine size. The embedded motor enables compact machine design and helps protect your intellectual property. ADR-P Series

The ADR-P are Akribis' series of frameless motors. They have the same electromagnetic design as the ADR-A and ADR-B, and have a high slot fill factor and low cogging torque. Customers can design their own mechanical design based on the demand.

  • ULT Series: easy to use general purpose motors from 45-165 diameters
  • UTH Series: high output motors from 29-533 mm diameters
  • UTS Series: slotless motors for the smoothest motion 29-240 mm diameters
  • UTO Series: outside rotating motors for hub-centeric applications 20-200mm diameters

TBM(S) Series Frameless Series 

The TBM frameless motor is a new series of direct drive torque motors designed for applications that require high power in a small compact form factor with minimized weight, and inertia.  Typical applications include robotic joints, weapon stations, sensor gimbals, sight systems, UAV propulsion and guidance, as well as many others.  Features include:

QTL Torque Motor Series

The QTL-A motor series comes in four diameters (210-230-290-310 mm) and three heights (65-85-105 mm). They are available with or without a cooling ring. The motor features enhanced thermal management due to the cooling channels which allow it to run at a high continuous torque of up to 329 Nm even in combination with high duty cycles and dynamic movement profiles. The low stack height in combination with the diameter results in a high torque density.

The brushless QTL has a large inner diameter suitable to route multiple cables through, allowing flexibility in the application. It therefore suits a wide variety of markets including rotary indexing tables, printing, material handling, packaging and laser cutting.The largest motor in the 310 series can reach an ultimate torque of up 779 Nm. The maximum speed for the smallest motor in the 210 series is 779 rpm at 680 Volt DC.

QTL-A-210 SERIES

Peak 140 - 281Nm
Continuous 37 - 51Nm

The QTL-A 210 series provides more torque than the smaller QTR series. The QTL-A 210 is the smallest of the QTL range and is available in three heights, 65, 85 and 105 mm. It has a large inner diameter suitable to route multiple cables through, allowing flexibility in the application. It therefore suits a wide variety of markets including rotary indexing tables, printing machinery and materials handling.

QTL-A-230 SERIES

The QTL-A 230 has the same electro-magnetic design as the QTL-A 210 but with the addition of enhanced thermal management for water cooling. The cooling channels allow it to run at a high continuous torque even in combination with high duty cycles and dynamic movement profiles. QTL-A-290 SERIES

The QTL-A 290 expands on the QTL-A 210 design to meet even higher torque demands. In combination with low induction values and fast response time this series allows for highly dynamic movements. It makes the series ideal for usage in packaging and laser cutting machinery.

QTL-A-310 SERIES

Peak 316 - 631Nm
Continuous 150 - 329Nm

The QTL-A 310 series is based on the QTL-A 290 with the addition of cooling channels. The motor is a reliable heavy duty workhorse. Because of  the integrated cooling channels the motor reaches a very high continuous torque without losing precision. Even with the addition of active cooling the motor is very compact and has a high torque density. It is especially suited for applications where thermal management is an issue. The cooling ring provides bolting holes for easy installation.


QTR Torque Motor Series

Torque motors are permanent-magnet direct drive motors that rotate along an axis. They can be used wherever a rotary movement is required and offer numerous advantages over conventional servo drives. The QTR series suits applications in markets such as semiconductor, medical, machine tool, printing, rotary tables, factory automation, and robotics. 

The QTR 65 and 78 are the smallest motors from our Torque range. Compact sizing and low voltage support makes them ideal for robotics applications and semiconductor machinery. To provide maximum flexibility and integration the QTR 65 and QTR 78 use flying leads instead of a power cable. Various applications such as in medical, testing equipment, and factory automation benefit from the large inner diameter of the 105, 133 and 160 series. 

QTR-A-65 SERIES

Peak 0.39 - 3.67Nm
Continuous 0.27 - 2.32Nm

The QTR-A-65 is the smallest torque motor in the Tecnotion QTR range. This motor is optimized for small and low voltage applications. The 65 Series is available in four motor ‘heights’ or ‘sizes’, a 17, 25, 34 and 60 size motor.

Compact sizing and low voltage support make the 65 mm QTR motor ideal for robotics applications.

QTR-A-78 SERIES

Continuous 0.55-4.75Nm

The QTR-A 78 is the second size available in the Tecnotion QTR range. As with the 65 Series motor, the 78 series motor is optimized for low voltage applications with a small build-space available. The largest QTR-A-78-60 motor offers a peak torque of 7.5Nm.

Small build-space and a large 29 mm inner diameter make the QTR-78 motor a favorite in semiconductor machinery.

QTR-A-105 SERIES

The QTR-A-105 is where the medium-range of Tecnotion QTR motors starts. QTR-A-105 motors are available with a wide range of options such as different winding types and a digital hall sensor. 

Various medical and health care applications benefit from the large inner diameter of the QTR-105 as well as the flat designs, starting at just 17 mm.

QTR-A-133 SERIES

Peak 3.7 - 35.3Nm
Continious 2.6 - 21.9Nm

The QTR-A-133 is the second medium-range QTR motor. It covers the torque range from 2.6 to 21.9Nm. The largest 60 mm high QTR-A-133-60 motor offers a peak torque of over 35.3Nm. Different winding types are available, optimizing Back EMF. 

High peak force make the QTR-133 Series ideal for usage in testing equipment.

QTR-A-160 SERIES
