With a hollow-shaft construction adopted as standard, these gearheads are credited with a high level of space economy, because the hollow-shaft construction provides room for other drive shafts and can also be used for wiring. Gearheads of this type can also provide direct support for external loads due to their built-in high rigidity cross roller bearings.
