VLP-100 Hollow Shaft Rotary Encoder
The VLP-100 Absolute Rotary Encoder is tailored for high-precision tasks, offering an 18-20 bit angular resolution and a nominal position accuracy of ±0.006°. It has a significant rotor inertia of 17,928 gr·mm², with an outer diameter of 100 mm, an inner diameter of 48 mm, and a height of 7 mm, weighing 42 grams.
The encoder, made from FR4 material, is robust and suitable for various industrial uses. It operates within a -40°C to +105°C temperature range and withstands significant shock and vibration. The VLP-100 is compliant with IEC 6100-6-2, IEC 6100-6-4 EMC standards, and offers SSi/BiSS-C communication, binary output, and RS-422 serial output. It functions on a 5V ±5% supply voltage and has a current consumption of around 90 mA. The encoder is optimal for applications needing accurate performance in demanding electromagnetic conditions.
