AKM2G Series
The AKM2G are the latest generation of brushless servo motors from Kollmorgen. They are equipped with increased torque in the same size motor, improving performance without having to change mounting or use more machine space.
There are a range of feedback options available to meet performance and application needs/requirements. This includes options that support functional safety. The AKM2G line has shaft, mounting, and connector options, as well as holding brake and thermal sensor options. The AKM2G also has low voltage models available for portable, mobile, and battery powered applications.
Features
- Kollmorgen SFD3 offers standard winding options for 120 Vac to 480 Vac operation and low voltage winding choices for 24 to 96 volts (Vdc or Vac) with various speed/torque performance curves.
- The feedback options are available to match application requirements and drive selection, including HIPERFACE DSL (supports functional safety applications), EnDat 2.2 (supports functional safety applications), Resolver, and Commutating Encoder as a standard option for low voltage motors.
- The customer can specify feedback devices through co-engineering, and connector options are available (as appropriate for feedback type and motor size).
- SpeedTec is standard for single or dual cable designs, while ytec is a dual connector with single insertion at the motor for size 2 motors.
- System cable options are available for use with Kollmorgen AKD2G servo drives and other AKD family servo drives, including a single cable for SFD3/HIPERFACE DSL/EnDat 2.2 and a two-cable variant for resolver, including ytec connector motors and commutating encoder.
- The motor has a standard IP54 rating, which can be upgraded to IP65 with an optional shaft seal. Other optional ratings are available through co-engineering.
- The motor has an international standard mount with a choice of smooth shaft or closed keyway, and other mount and shaft options are available through co-engineering.
- There is a 24VDC mechanical holding brake option and thermal sensor options for maximum motor protection and servo drive compatibility.
- Low friction shaft seal options are available for both wet and dry running applications.
