Integrated servo motors are constructed to include a BLDC motor, driver, encoder and associated electronics into a single compact package. Electromate sells two types of Integrated servomotors: Traditional Integrated AC Servo Motors from JVL Industri Elektronik and Hybrid Integrated Servo Motors (also known as closed-loop stepper motors).

Integrated Programmable Servo Actuators from SMAC Moving Coil Actuators

JVL's MAC Motor Series of integrated servo motors (up to 4500W and 13.5kW peak) include the controller, PLC, encoder, power supply and bus system integrated into one compact unit. All industrial Ethernet connectivity protocols like Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet / IP, Modbus TCP, Powerlink, Sercos III etc. are available.
Furthermore, traditional fieldbus networks like CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus, Nano PLC, and RS232/RS485/USB are available as options. With the MAC Motor, you only pay for what you need, and get it at an astonishingly low price.
But the MAC motor offers more than that. You save lots of space in your cabinet, eliminate EMI/RFI noise from long motor cable runs and reduce downtime from the elimination of cables and component failures which are the cause most of machine break-downs. With almost no cabling and only 30% of the normal number of components, you can be sure that your failure rate will drop if you choose the MAC motor for your next motion control task. The MAC motor® series sets completely new standards for the performance and size of integrated servo controls.
So what about vibration and temperature? As with the other JVL integrated servo motors in the range of 50W-4500W, both the motor and its associated electronic components have been specifically selected to withstand the rigorous demands of industrial use.
Powering this motor is easy since it only requires connection of the main voltage of 3x400VAC through its M23 connectors. Control voltage for the encoder and microprocessor circuitry is 24VDC. In an emergency-stop situation where an approved relay has cut-off the main power, encoder position and other values are maintained by the control voltage. Furthermore highly effective switching technology is used to ensure low heat generation resulting in appreciable energy savings.
