Posital’s New ATEX/IECEx Graded Inclination Sensor

POSITAL has extended its TILTIX family of inclinometers (tilt sensors) to include explosion-proof models designed to operate safely in environments that contain potentially dangerous levels of explosive dust or gases. These devices have been certified in compliance with IECEx and ATEX directives and are suitable for use in mines, oil and gas facilities, agricultural applications, chemical plants, woodworking factories and milling operations.

New Profinet Interface for POSITAL’s Explosion-Proof Rotary Sensors

POSITAL has added an optional Profinet communications interface to its range of explosion-proof IXARC rotary encoders. These devices have been designed to comply with ATEX/IECEx directives for Category 3 electrical products and are suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 21 conditions (potential exposure to hazardous levels of explosive gases and dust concentrations). Maxon motor launches two sterilizable motors for use with or without planetary gearheads in high speed medical applications of up to 90,000 rpm. Submersible/Harsh Environment Linear Shaft Motor

The Linear Shaft Motor has no backlash, no wear and provides extremely smooth motion. Because the Linear Shaft Motor is a simple mechanical design consisting of only a forcer (coils) and magnetic shaft, it is virtually maintenance free, creates minimal noise and operates well in harsh and wash down environments. 

The Linear Shaft Motor is also an ideal replacement for more traditional linear motion systems including ball-screws, belt drives, piezo motors, u-channel motors, and rack and pinion linear actuators. The Linear Shaft Motor provides greater energy efficiency, precision, accuracy, repeatability, and cost efficiency than similar linear systems.

Extreme Environment Servo Motor is Ideal for Downhole Drilling

Maxon’s EC HD (Heavy Duty) motors are 22mm & 32mm dia. brushless servo motors rated to 480W that outperform all other commercial electric motors on shock, vibration and temperature tolerances.  EC HD motors were developed in collaboration with the oil exploration industry and are designed to operate at depths of 16,000 feet and in boreholes up to 36,000 feet long.

The motors operate at temperatures up to 240°C and under atmospheric pressure conditions from high vacuum to 25,000 psi.  They have also been proven to resist impulse and impact forces of 100G and can operate while submerged in oil.

The new AKMH Series, from Kollmorgen, are brushless servo motors featuring IP69K sealing and are constructed using corrosion resistant materials.

Maxon's Sterilizable Gearmotor EC19 and GP19M

With its modular construction, this new brushless DC motor is available in three performance classes: the cost-optimized EC 19 at 60 Watt, the strong and high-speed EC 19 at 120 Watt and the sterilizable high-end version EC 19 at 120 Watt. 

With maxon motor's winding technology, it is possible to offer various voltage versions. The stator has been designed without slots. Therefore, no cogging torque occurs resulting in excellent control properties and extraordinarily smooth running. Together with an optimally balanced rotor, low-noise and low-vibration operation is easily achieved.
