DL-66 Rotary Encoder
The DL-66 Absolute Rotary Encoder from Netzer Precision is a high-resolution sensor designed for accuracy and durability. It features an 18-20 bit resolution with an extremely low extended accuracy static error of ±0.005°. The encoder's profile is 29 mm, and it has a total weight of 350 grams, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
Mechanically, the DL-66 is built for resilience, with an aluminum case and stainless steel shaft. It has an outer diameter of 71 mm, providing substantial presence while maintaining a manageable size. The encoder's starting torque is 30 x 10-4 N.m, indicative of its efficient mechanical design.
Electrically, the DL-66 operates on a 5VDC ± 5% supply voltage (with an optional 24 VDC) and consumes 90 mA. It supports interfaces such as SSi and BiSS-C, offers binary output code, and features differential RS-422 serial output. The clock frequency ranges from 0.1 to 5.0 MHz, with a position update rate of 35 kHz, extendable up to 375 kHz.
Environmentally, the DL-66 is built to endure challenging conditions, with a storage temperature range of -50°C to +100°C and a relative humidity tolerance of 98% non-condensing. Its shock endurance is rated at 150 g for 11 ms, and it can withstand vibrations of 20 g from 10 to 2000 Hz. With an IP 65 protection rating and compliance with EMC standards (IEC 6100-6-2, IEC 6100-6-4), the DL-66 is an ideal choice for environments requiring high precision and durability.
