The Kollmorgen EB and EBH Series, derived from 230 VAC B series and 480 VAC BH series Goldline motors, presents an exceptional explosion-proof servo motor solution.
These motors are ideal for environments where the presence of flammable vapors or gases poses potential hazards. Rigorously tested and based on our proven track record, these motors are designed to endure internal explosions without bursting or allowing ignition to propagate outside the motor frame.
Operating at either 230 VAC or 480 VAC, they are certified explosion-proof (Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups C and D). Ranging from 0.84 to 158 N-m (0.62 to 116.0 lb-ft), they offer a diverse torque spectrum within a compact 75.4 to 195.5 mm (2.97 to 7.70 inches) square frame.
The motors incorporate robust resolver feedback, ensuring reliable performance, and support speeds up to 7,500 rpm. Their compact design boasts a high torque-to-volume ratio, complemented by features such as a built-in thermostat and Class F insulation.
Additionally, EB motors are available in cULus or ATEX/IECEx* configurations, while EBH motors are exclusively offered with ATEX/IECEx configurations. These configurations are mutually exclusive, with UL configurations excluding ATEX/IECEx and vice versa.
Notably, ATEX/IECEx+cETLus configurations replace the UL listed mark with the ETL listed mark while adhering to equivalent UL and CSA standards. Please note that ATEX/IECEx certification is not applicable to EB80x sizes.
