VLP-80 Encoder

The VLP-60 Absolute Rotary Encoder is a compact and precise device, offering an 18-20 bit angular resolution and a nominal position accuracy of ±0.010°. Its small size, with a 60 mm outer diameter, 25 mm inner diameter, and 6 mm height, coupled with a light weight of 16 grams, makes it suitable for applications where space and weight are constraints. The encoder is constructed from FR4 material, providing a robust design capable of withstanding diverse industrial environments.

This encoder is designed to operate effectively in challenging conditions, with a high tolerance to EMI, RFI, and magnetic fields. It can function within a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C and is capable of enduring significant shock and vibration, meeting the MIL-STD-810G standards.

The VLP-60 is equipped with SSi and BiSS-C communication interfaces, offering a binary output code and differential RS-422 serial output. It operates on a 5V ±5% supply voltage with a current consumption of approximately 90 mA. The standard 250mm cable ensures easy interconnection, and the position update rate can be optionally increased up to 375 kHz. The encoder also meets EMC standards according to IEC 6100-6-2 and IEC 6100-6-4, and offers an IP 40 protection rating, making it a reliable choice for precise and stable operation in industrial settings​.
