VLM-60 Encoder
The VLM-60 Absolute Rotary Encoder is distinguished by its high resolution and precision, featuring a 17-bit resolution with an accuracy of ±0.010°. Its hollow shaft design and adaptable resolution make it versatile for various industrial settings. The encoder's compact size, with a 60 mm outer diameter, 25 mm inner diameter, and 8 mm height, along with a weight of 15 grams, makes it suitable for space-sensitive applications. Constructed from FR4 material, the VLM-60 is environmentally durable and built to last.
In terms of performance, the VLM-60 supports a multi-turn measurement range with a maximum operational speed of 4,000 rpm. The rotation direction is adjustable, providing flexibility in usage. The encoder's rotor inertia is 1,996 gr·mm², ensuring stability and precision in operation.
Electrically, the VLM-60 operates on a 5V ±5% supply voltage with a current consumption of less than 100 mA. It features a CR1025SM battery with a 36-month life in typical conditions and an optional external battery supply voltage of 3.3V +/-10%. The interface includes SSi and a differential RS-422 serial output, with a clock frequency ranging from 0.1 to 5.0 MHz. The position update rate is 35 kHz, extendable up to 375 kHz.
Environmentally, the VLM-60 meets EMC standards (IEC 6100-6-2, IEC 6100-6-4) and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +65°C, making it a reliable choice for various environmental conditions.
